UNI AND THE URCHINS "POPSTAR SUPERNOVA" EXCLUSIVE VIDEO PREMIERE
Pop in the Laurie Anderson cassette, turn on the pinball machine, light a Nat Sherman and put on your favorite upcycled zoot suit. You’ve got to look your best when the billionaire super villain and all his buddies leave you stranded on earth with no living plant or animal left, just an encroaching dust cloud from their phalanx of rockets.
As they gleefully wave goodbye from the chrome porthole windows, disappearing like Galaga glitter into the great expanse of space (Oregon trail 2.0 but make it luxury pods), you nibble on your last soylent green bar, probably made from the posthumous neighbors.
Already you hear glass breaking, looting and fire sirens across town. It’s nothing new. You turn the music up to drown it out and pull out a polaroid from your pocket to stare at the last moment you spent with your sweetheart...
Bet they’ll miss you once they land in some cheesy resort on Titan with their bourgeoisie robotics.
You could’ve been someone out there, a rock star with a fresh start, but you didn’t make the cut. Just a small town musician from the wrong side of the tracks.
Far away, your inamorata stares wistfully out the window to watch earth explode in their wake, as carts with tea and marmite pass by them in the aisle.
That fateful polaroid escapes the blast, expelled past chunks of burning shrapnel and bodies… And continues to float silently through space for a thousand years until it’s the only thing aliens discover of our world; a faded portrait of two young lovers snogging at an arcade, immortalized in cheap silver emulsion.
