CRUEL WORLD FEST 2023

Cruel World 2023 brought out the creatures of the night to the Pasadena Rose Bowl to catch some of the biggest post-punk bands seen together for the first time since the 80s. Saturday’s event unfortunately got cut short during Iggy Pop’s set while he was performing The Passenger by the fire department due to lightning strikes in the area. Before this cruel event happened, fans got to see such acts as Twin Tribes, Molchat Doma, Echo and the Bunnymen, Berlin, ABC, Boy Harsher, Billy Idol, The Human League, Love & Rockets, Modern English, Gary Numan or Gang of Four.

Fans were extremely disappointed when they heard from the speaker “We are evacuating the festival due to severe weather conditions”. Lucky for some that Cruel World added a second night with Gary Numan, Iggy Pop and Siouxsie Sioux who returned to the stage to play her first US show in 15 years.
